Oakpark Medical Centre was setup over 30 years ago by Dr Joe Arthurs and his wife Marie R.G.N (registered general nurse).
In 2013 their daughter Dr Kate Arthurs also joined the team of GPs at Oakpark Medical Centre.
We have been providing General Practice services to the people of Tralee for over a quarter of a century.
What started out as a single Doctor practice has grown into what is today a modern and dynamic practice.
In the last 2 decades Oakpark Medical Centre has grown significantly and has recently undergone a major state of the art re-development.
Today we have 5 doctors, 2 practice nurses, a phlebotomist, dietitian, psychotherapist, and 7 secretaries making up the team.
We look forward to welcoming new and existing patients through our door.

Dr Catriona D'Arcy
Specialist Fields: including Gynaecology & Family Planning, Minor Surgery & ENT.
Other Special Interests: These include Sexual Health, Asthma, Diabetes, Dermatology, Registered Smear Taker with Cervical Check
Dr Padraig Connaughton
Specialist Fields: including Men's Health, Medicine for the Elderly and Sport's Medicine.
He also specialises in Chronic Disease Management including Cardiology, respiratory and Diabetes.
Practice Nurses - Joanne & Bridget
Nurse Joanne and Nurse Eilish provide support to the GPs and advise and provide information to our patients. They also run Diabetic, Asthma and Chronic Disease Management Clinics.
Phlebotomist Caroline
Caroline runs a busy phlebotomy clinic providing support to all our GPs and patients alike.
Admin Team & Practice Manager
Our Admin team is managed by practice manager Karen O'Leary and comprises of secretaries Bridget, Mary, Teresa, Morna, Laura, Tina, Mags & Rebekah.

Ms. Peggy Daly Senior Dietitian / Clinical Nutritionist
Peggy is our in house Senior Dietitian. She has extensive experience in a wide range of medical fields providing comprehensive dietary & nutritional advice to suit individual patient needs. Her areas of interest include Heart Disease, Weight Management, Diabetes, Coeliac Disease, Eating Disorders, Gut/Bowel problems, Paediatrics, Nutrition in Cancer & Nutrition for the Elderly. Peggy has been working as part of the team here at the Oakpark Medical Centre for the past number of years running regular weekly Dietetic Clinics.

Ms. Tricia Healy Psychotherapist
Tricia Healy is a fully qualified Biodynamic and Integrative Psychotherapist. She is a fully accredited member of I.A.H.I.P.
“My work is informed by my in-depth training and my wide and varied life experience. I work with adults who are in need of support, people suffering from anxiety, depression, lethargy/ lostness, experiencing relationship problems, those who may feel at a cross roads and those who want more from life.
I have a special interest in terminal illness and end of life care. I work with terminally ill people undergoing treatment, palliative patients and their families and I work with the dying. I work closely with Palliative Consultants and GPs.
I have a wide skill base which I very much utilise in all of my work both with individuals and groups. As well as talk therapy, I use creative expression/artwork, bodywork/ consciousness, meditation, visualisation in my work to empower and encourage positive and powerful change.
I work as a psychotherapist in private practice in Tarbert, in a Palliative Day care centre and in Oakpark Medical Centre in Tralee. I also facilitate training in communicating with palliative patients.
